Leakless exists to keep private details out of the files you share, so it would make no sense for the app itself to collect them. We do not collect or store any personal information, and Leakless works fully offline on your Mac.
This Privacy Policy describes what we don’t collect, how your files stay on your device, and what very limited data is handled by Apple during purchases.
1. We Do Not Identify You
Leakless does not collect your name, email address, IP address, or any identifiers. There is no account to create and no sign in. You can use the app completely anonymously.
2. Your Files Stay Local
Every file you check, everything Leakless finds inside it (comments, tracked changes, names, folder paths, locations and the rest), and every clean copy it creates is processed only on your Mac. Your files and the reports about them are never uploaded, shared, or synced externally.
3. No Network Connections
Leakless does not connect to the internet to check or clean files. It does not send your files, file names, or findings to us or to anyone else. The only time anything goes over the network is an App Store purchase, which macOS handles through Apple’s own system.
4. Your Originals and Clean Copies
Leakless reads the files you give it and saves clean copies as new files on your Mac. Your original file is not changed. The list of clean copies you have made is kept only on your Mac, inside the app’s own storage.
5. Purchases
If you choose to unlock Leakless Pro, the transaction is securely handled by Apple via their in-app purchase system, and Family Sharing is managed by Apple as well. We do not see or store any of your billing data.
6. No Tracking
We do not use third-party analytics, advertising frameworks, crash reporting services, or cookies. We do not track your usage behavior, nor do we collect metrics on which files you check or what Leakless finds in them.
7. Security
Because your files and the results stay on your device, there is minimal risk of breaches or leaks. Leakless runs in the macOS App Sandbox and can only open the files you choose to give it.
8. Changes to This Policy
If this policy ever changes, we will update it on this page and change the date at the top.
