At Upframe, we care deeply about protecting your privacy. Your videos are often the most personal files you have, so we built Upframe to enhance them entirely on your Mac. We do not collect or store any personal information.
This Privacy Policy describes what we don’t collect, how your videos stay on your device, and what very limited data is handled by Apple during purchases.
1. We Do Not Identify You
Upframe does not collect your name, email address, IP address, or any identifiers. There is no account to create and no sign in. You can use the app completely anonymously.
2. Your Videos Stay Local
Every video you open, every preview, and every enhanced result is processed only on your Mac by on-device AI models. Your videos, their frames, and their file names are never uploaded, shared, or synced to us or to anyone else. Upframe works offline.
3. Your Originals and Enhanced Videos
Upframe reads the videos you choose and saves enhanced copies inside the app, or in a folder you pick in Settings. Your original video is never changed. The date, the place and the camera details of the original are copied to the enhanced video only so it stays the same as the original; you can turn this off in Settings with Keep Original Details. None of it is sent anywhere.
4. Notifications
If you allow notifications, Upframe uses them only to tell you, on your Mac, that your videos are done. You can turn them off in Settings at any time.
5. Purchases
If you choose Upframe Pro, as a subscription or a one-time purchase, the transaction is securely handled by Apple via their in-app purchase system. We do not see or store any of your billing data. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account settings.
6. No Tracking
We do not use third-party analytics, advertising frameworks, crash reporting services, or cookies. We do not track your usage behavior, nor do we collect metrics on which videos you enhance or how you use Upframe.
7. Security
Because your videos stay on your device, there is minimal risk of breaches or leaks. Upframe runs in the macOS App Sandbox and can only open the videos you choose to give it.
8. Children
Upframe does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children, because it does not collect personal information at all.
9. Changes to This Policy
If this policy ever changes, we will update it on this page and change the date at the top.
