Terms of Use

Last modified: August 12, 2026

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of PacketWarden (the "Service"), provided by Security Tech OÜ ("we", "us", "our"). By installing, launching, or otherwise using PacketWarden, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms
You agree to these Terms by accessing or using the Service. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not install or use PacketWarden.

2. Permitted Use
You must use the Service lawfully, comply with all applicable local laws and Apple App Store requirements, and refrain from interfering with, disrupting, reverse engineering, or attempting to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its underlying systems.

3. Your Own Machine, Your Own Traffic
PacketWarden observes and filters network connections on the Mac it is installed on. You are responsible for using it only on machines you own or are authorized to administer, and for complying with any workplace, school or network policy that applies to you. Do not use the Service to monitor another person's activity without their knowledge and agreement.

4. System Permissions
The Service requires permission to install a macOS network filter in order to observe and block connections. You may grant or remove this permission in System Settings at any time; removing it will stop the Service from monitoring or filtering anything.

5. Blocking Is Yours To Decide
Blocking an app or a domain may stop that software from working as its developer intended - updates, licence checks, cloud sync, in-app content and similar features may fail. Curated block lists are provided for convenience and may change over time. You are responsible for the rules you enable and for the consequences of blocked traffic, including any interruption to services you rely on. Do not rely on the Service as your only security control.

6. No Guarantee Of Completeness
The Service reports and filters connections through the interfaces macOS makes available to it. We do not warrant that it captures or blocks every connection in every situation, and it is not a substitute for a network-level firewall, antivirus software or professional security advice.

7. Accounts, Purchases, and Billing
Some features of PacketWarden require purchase or subscription through third-party stores such as Apple. All billing, refunds, renewals, and related matters are managed by the respective store provider in accordance with their terms.

8. Intellectual Property
Security Tech OÜ and its licensors retain all rights, title, and interest in the Service, including all software, design, text, graphics, and branding, except where third parties hold rights. No rights are granted to you other than the limited right to use the Service in accordance with these Terms.

9. Third-Party Services
PacketWarden may rely on external infrastructure or platform providers (such as Apple) and on third-party data such as GeoIP and domain lists. We are not responsible for any outages, inaccuracies, policy modifications, or terms imposed by such third parties.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Security Tech OÜ shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including, without limitation, loss of data, loss of revenue, or business interruption arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service.

12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time when necessary for user protection, system security, or legal compliance, or if you violate these Terms.

13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms become effective upon posting on this page with a revised "Last modified" date. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
